In the world of cosmetics, there’s always a handful of new beauty products to unearth. With reformulated classics, just-discovered ingredients, and high-tech tools released each month, understanding what to stock your vanity with can feel confusing. To help inform your buy, here we take a look at the new beauty arrivals worth knowing—and shopping.
Come January, every editor knows to expect a slew of new beauty products to hit their desks. It’s as if once the clock strikes twelve on New Year’s Day, brands are ready to wave goodbye to the previous year in favor of all that’s to come next. I’ve come to think of it as not only a time for a personal cosmetics reset, but also an opportunity to take stock of the categories and products all my publicist and founder friends are most excited about.
First of all, many brands are revisiting their bestselling formulas and improving them. Summer Fridays just launched four new shades of its Dream Lip Oil (a product Vogue’s senior beauty editor Margaux Anbouba tells me all the time she’s obsessed with), while Westman Atelier launched shade Petal—a bestseller in its Baby Cheeks Blush Stick—in three new formats (a highlighter, lipstick, and liquid lip balm). Charlotte Tilbury went back to the lab with its viral Hollywood Contour Wand to debut five new shades. A similar story at Merit that just introduced new hues of its Flush Balm blush.
But all of the best launches this month were not color cosmetics-related (though Typology has a great tinted lip balm you should try), nor were they all an ode to the past. NuFace and Refy looked to the future in an effort to reimagine how we sculpt and lift the face—the former with a microcurrent wand, the latter with a cool face-rolling moisturizer. Speaking of, Ilia is now offering a sensitive skin-friendly face cream to round out its streamlined skin-care lineup. The cream is led by the soothing properties of oats—an ingredient also vital to Shani Darden’s Rescue Serum which is incredible for soothing redness, pigmentation, and blemishes. All of these and more of the best new beauty products to know about in 2025 so far.

The Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin: Ilia Barrier Build Skin Protectant Cream
- Why We Love It: It’s harder than you’d imagine to find a good, reliable, sensitive-skin friendly moisturizer that delivers ample hydration without exacerbating skin issues and achieving a natural glow. But Ilia, of course, has hit the nail on the head with the launch of its Barrier Build Skin Protectant Cream. Clean, cruelty-free, and with the National Eczema Association’s Seal of Acceptance, this is designed to stregnthen the skin barrier, alleviate redness, and calm skin sensitivities via a blend of nourishing agents like colloidal oatmeal and ceramides—perfect to combat harsh winter air.
- Key Ingredients: Colloidal oatmeal, ceramide complexion, algae hydragel, bioavailable calcium

The Blush Bounty: Merit Les Bonbons Set
- Why We Love It: Merit’s Flush Balm has been one of Vogue’s favorite blushes since its 2021 launch. Creamy, satin-finished, blendable, and housed in a convenient, cutesy tube, this is excellent for adding a burst of natural-looking color to the cheeks, lids, and lips. Its buildable, modern shades are an added benefit—suited for any minimalist or mature makeup regimen. And now, the brand has introduced five new shades: Le Bonbon, Lusitano, Postmodern, Bespoke, and Archival—plus the return of the shade Terracotta to round out its collection. Shop them individually or try them all in the new Les Bonbons Set, perfect for any beauty afficiando—yourself or someone on your Valentine’s Day gift list.

The Lip Treatment: Nécessaire The Lip Balm
- Why We Love It: Nécessaire is really good at conceiving simple, results-driven body-care products that are easy to integrate into any routine. It brings this philosophy to its newest launch, The Lip Balm, which provides instant relief for dry, chapped lips. The formula finds rejuvenating benefits via a five-ceramide blend, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, plus omegas 6 and 9. The finish is slip and subtly glossy, but not sticky—great for daily wear.
- Key Ingredients: Ceramides (AG, AP, EOP, NG, NP), niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, omega-6, omega-9, centella asiatic extract, pure essential mint oil
- Best For: Lip repair and hydration
The Beauty Tool: NuFace FIX MicroWand Kit
- Why We Love It: The NuFace is one of those tools whose name speaks for itself—nowadays synonymous with sculpting and lifting treatments that harness microcurrent technology for seamless at-home use. Off the heels of the long-held success of its acclaimed Trinity+ and Mini+ devices, which offer powerful treatments to the larger areas of the face, NuFace is now introducing its FIX MicroWand—a specialized device for those smaller areas in need of a little zhuzhing. FDA-cleared and clinically-tested, this delivers gentle and precise microcurrents to depuff the undereye area, plum the lips, and smooth fine lines in a quick three minutes.
- Specs: FDA-cleared, clinically-tested, three treatment modes
- Best For: Depuffing, plumping, reducing the appearance of fine lines
The Styling Cream: Rōz Evergreen Styling Cream
- Why We Love It: From taming flyaways to expertly tousling your bob or sweeping your hair into a slick-back bun, you want a product that smooths and sculpts sans crunchy, flaky residue. Enter: the Rōz Evergreen Styling Cream. Here, celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak combines shea butter, carnauba wax, and hydrolyzed vegetable proteins into a non-greasy cream suited to address damage and dryness while styling to perfection. Not to mention, it boasts a fresh and woody scent featuring notes of vetiver, bergamot, and fig that adds a delightful touch to your haircare routine. Basically, it’s the multipurpose hair savior of dreams.
- Key Ingredients: Shea butter, carnauba wax, hydrolyzed vegetable proteins
- Best For: Smoothing, light hold
The Sculpting Moisturizer: Refy Face Sculpt
- Why We Love It: Refy co-founder Jess Hunt is known for her sculpted visage—a point bolstered by her brand’s buzzy Glow and Sculpt Primer (a brightening serum with a rolling applicator designed to reduce puffiness and improve facial contour). Hunt takes it a step further with the brand’s latest launch—Face Sculpt, a sculpting moisturizer packed with Refy’s Inst’tight complex that’s rich in peptides and botanicals, glycerin, and mushroom extract to hydrate, firm, and reduce redness. This, plus a foaming cleanser mark the brand’s entrance into skincare.
- Key Ingredients: Inst’tight Complex, glycerin, vitamin B5, mushroom extract
- Best For: Hydration, facial sculpting, depuffing
The Dry Shampoo Reimagined: Briogeo Dry Shampoo Puff
- Why We Love It: We all know dry shampoo as the best way to keep hair fresh between washes. But if a traditional spray isn’t your speed, give Briogeo’s Dry Shampoo Puff a try. Designed for on-the-go application, this dispenses a blend of oil-absorbing starches, biotin, and copper peptides directly to the scalp via a soft puff. All you have to do is pat the roots a few times and allow the powder to mattify oily areas. Most people will gravitate towards towards the translucent version, whereas those with black or dark hair colors will appreciate the tinted shade that founder Nancy Twine tells me serves as an excellent root touch-up.
- Key Ingredients: Oil-absorbing starches, biotin, copper peptides, Energy Complex
- Best For: Oily scalps, extending time between washes
The Tinted Lip Balm: Typology T41 Replenishing Lip Balm
- Why We Love It: A tinted lip balm is one of those products you’ll buy again and again and again. You lose one, you finish a tube, or you get halfway into using it only to realize you actually don’t like the shade that much—putting you, once again, in search of a nourishing take on coloring the lips. For your next buy, allow me to introduce you to Typology’s T41. Described as “replenishing,” this packs ceramides and hyaluronic acid into a creamy, restorative balm that provides instant relief to chapped lips. There are four shades to choose from—one clear for daily wear, and three tinted, including a pastel pink, a rose-brown, and a rich purple. All of which impart a natural, subtle glossy finish that’s neither sticky nor drying.
- Key Ingredients: Ceramides, hyaluronic acid
- Best For: Lip color, nourishment
The Multitasking Serum: Shani Darden Rescue Serum With 10% Azelaic Complex
- Why We Love It: Some serums help soothe the skin while others improve the look of it, but Shani Darden’s new Rescue Serum manages to do both. The master esthetician pairs 10% azelaic acid with a hydrating blend of oat kernel, aloe, and licorice extracts to even, calm, and correct. “It targets imperfections, brightens the skin, calms redness, and deeply nourishes the skin,” she tells me over Zoom. “You can layer it with other actives; and, it pairs beautifully with retinol.” Start using it three times per week nightly—follow with moisturizer, then SPF come morning—and expect an improvement in blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and redness.
- Key Ingredients: 10% azelaic acid, oat kernel extract, aloe extract, licorice extract, hyaluronic acid
- Best For: Dark spots, hyperpigmentation, redness
The Lucky Perfume: Dior Bois Talisman Eau de Parfum
- Why We Love It: Dior’s latest is a top contender for this year’s best perfumes for women. In creating Bois Talisman, master perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s was inspired by superstitions—or, rather “harmless rituals” to ward off bad luck. He often kept a sugar cube in his pocket, while Christian Dior was known to keep a piece of wood in his for good measure. “Bois Talisman was born of the striking meeting of our two superstitions, and the sugar cube tucked away in my pocket blended with the pieces of wood that Christian Dior continually touched in his,” Kurkdjian said in a press release. “Sugar flowed towards an intense vanilla that reveals every one of its facets. A magical duo was formed, and Bois Talisman was born”—creating a creamy, dreamy, woodsy vanilla sure to charm all who experience it.
- Key Notes: Cedar, vanilla
- Best For: A sweet, warm cologne

The Winter Moisturizer: Rhode Barrier Butter
- Why We Love It: It’s skin-care best practice to rethink your face moisturizer as temperatures drop. I know that, my fellow editors know that, and clearly Hailey Bieber knows that, as indicated by the launch of Rhode’s new Barrier Butter at the start of fall. “I have always loved a rich, balmy product as a sealant for other products on the skin in the colder months,” she previously told Vogue. Hers, described as a rich moisture balm, is a mix between an ointment and an emollient face cream, delivering instant hydration via five molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and skin-barrier-strengthening ceramides, then trapping in said moisture with murumuru butter and polyglutamic acid. “It’s also great used underneath your makeup when you need a little extra hydration,” Bieber said. “You can use it on the face, neck, chest, and hands, and it’s great for plumping and hydrating the skin, addressing fine lines, and all of that.” With its versatile uses, you’re likely to reach for it throughout the day.
- Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, murumuru butter, ceramide NP
- Best for: Normal-to-dry skin types, hydration
The Health Tracker: Oura Ring 4
- Why We Love It: Oura’s newest smart ring is here: the Oura Ring 4. I’ve been wearing the previous version, 3, for the last few months and thoroughly enjoyed its uses. If you’re in the market for one, why not shop the latest? Where the Oura Ring wins is its insights that help one optimize and understand their overall health. Ring 4 features the brand’s new Smart Sensing technology to more accurately track metrics like workouts, stress levels, and heart rate. I particularly love monitoring my sleep score—a factor of total sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), nighttime movement, and sleep regularity—which plays a part in your overall “readiness” score: a reflection of how prepared your body is to take on a day. The ring is also quite good at predicting when I’m getting sick (via shifts in your temperature and heart rate), which I’ve found incredibly useful throughout the changing seasons. All this data can be found in an app that was recently designed for an improved user experience. On the aesthetic front, Ring 4 is now available in a new colorway, matte black, along with the previous silver, gold, and rose-gold finishes.
- Specs: Available in sizes 4-15, medical-grade titanium band, various red and infrared LEDs, PPG sensors, and digital temperature sensor
- Best for: Health tracking
The Face Pencils: Hermès Trait d'Hermès
- Why We Love It: Hermès has a way of making beauty products that toe the line between useful cosmetics and display-worthy collectibles. I quickly became partial to its recently debuted Barenia eau de parfum, now one of my most-complimented scents, and expected equal excitement for its new Trait d’Hermès, a collection of 40 colored pencils inspired by the house’s heritage. There are 24 striking eyeliner pencils in shades that range from everyday browns and blacks to statement blues (27–Bleuet) and shimmering golds (15–Mordoré), each crafted with a smudger on opposite ends for added customization. The remaining 16 pencils are for the lips, in a host of reds, pinks, browns, and nude hues perfectly suited for your favorite Hermès lipstick. Both collections have exceptional staying power, allowing for beautiful accents that don’t require frequent reapplication.
- Shades: 40
- Best for: Eyeliner, lip liner
The Korean Face Mask: CosRx Advanced Snail Mucin Glass Glow Hydrogel Face Mask
- Why We Love It: At Vogue, we’re big proponents of Korean face masks, and in our reporting of the best, the CosRx sheet mask was a favorite of mine and dermatologist Y. Claire Chang. Dr. Chang recommended it for its 35,000 ppm snail secretion filtrate concentration, which helps to hydrate, repair, and heal the skin. It’s one of my favorite hydrating treatments, so when I found out the brand was introducing a sort of 2.0 version, my ears perked up. Enter the Glass Glow Hydrogel Face Mask. While the OG leads with the aforementioned snail mucin, the recent debut pairs it with low-molecular-weight collagen, niacinamide, allantoin, five types of hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. The added ingredients ensure skin is glowing, intensely hydrated, smooth, and firm. Not to mention the mask becomes clear as you wear it, for endless selfie opportunities.
- Key Ingredients: 25% snail secretion filtrate, low-molecular-weight 200Da collagen, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin
- Best for: Hydration, smoothing enlarged pores, evening skin tone, achieving glass skin
The Eye Shadow: Glossier Shadow Sticks
- Why We Love It: Eye shadow has been having a stellar year: 2023 saw the rise of the single-toned shadow, and this year we’ve seen renewed interest in the palette. With so much hype around les yeux, it’s a fitting time for Glossier’s newest launch: the Glossier Shadow Sticks. Chubby like a crayon and equally buildable and blendable, Shadow Sticks make creating an eye look as easy as can be. There are five versatile shades to choose from; personal standouts include Roadie, a shimmering champagne hue, and Riff, a more traditional warm bronze—both perfect for the upcoming holiday. I like that they can be smudged out with a finger or a brush and don’t dry down instantly, meaning you have a bit of time to play with it upon application. Plus, the formula is ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested to suit those with sensitivities.
- Key Ingredients: Vitamin E acetate, a Blend + Set Complex
- Shades: 5
The New Retinol: Dior Capture Totale Retishot Retinol Night Treatment
- Why We Love It: While many of us look to Dior for exquisite fashion and dazzling makeup, its skin-care collection is packed with intelligent solutions for all your complexion concerns. If it’s youthful-looking skin you’re after, the label’s new Capture Totale Retishot is just the ticket. Powered by the industry’s most studied antiaging ingredient, retinol (here in a concentrated 0.1% pure form alongside longoza extract), it seeks to correct six signs of skin aging, including enlarged pores, dullness, rough texture, uneven tone, pigmentation, and sun damage. You’ll appreciate that the texture is that of a lightweight cream, treating the skin with minimal irritation. As always, though, patch test and start using every other night to build up tolerance.
- Key Ingredients: 0.1% concentrated pure concentrated retinol, longoza extract
- Best for: Brightening, smoothing, evening skin tone, fine lines
The Holiday Highlight: Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Acqua Highlighter
- Why We Love It: Armani Beauty’s new Luminous Silk Acqua Highlighter is like a masterclass in how to glow. Available in five pearlescent shades that read more natural sheen than shimmering glitter, this delivers a weightless radiance wherever you place it. The formula itself is liquidy and almost serum-like, making blending to an undetectable finish a seamless process. Plus it’s enriched with niacinamide, caffeine, and glycerin to perk skin up simultaneously. Expect a lit-from-within glow and numerous compliments on each wear.
- Shades: Niacinamide, caffeine, and glycerin
- Best for: Highlighting, mixing with foundation
The Reimagined Cleanser: Isamaya x Conserving Beauty Hyaluronic Cleansing & Conditioning Cloths Artistry Set

The collaboration takes Conserving Beauty’s biodegradable facial cloths that dissolve in water and infuses them in hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and panthenol to nourish skin while prepping for makeup wear (or remove it at the end of the day). Loaded with hydration, it’s excellent for those with skin sensitivities like rosacea and eczema or those interested in a more intelligent, better-for-you makeup wipe. This set comes with a set of 140 cleansing cloths and a 100% refillable aluminum canister to store your wipes sleekly.
