Beauty Marks: The Best Beauty Looks of The Week
Beauty Marks is back again: the next instalment of Vogue’s series that distils the best in beauty each week. We’re over halfway through January and plowing into 2025—and still, new year, new me seems to be the resounding mantra for celebrities’ latest looks.
This was a week for big beauty decisions: Julia Fox put the “girl, don’t do it…” audio to a TikTok that saw her brandish a pair of scissors. Lo and behold, she went and did it: an Ace Ventura-esque chop. FKA twigs is counting down the days to her next album Esexua, and so gave her skullet a trim refresh. Nail art also dabbled in the extremes: “Messy” artist Lola Young left the expanse of her XXL nails bare, and celebrity nail artist Mei Kawajiri—whose clients include Blackpink’s Lisa, Sabrina Carpenter, and Addison Rae—had fun with socks and Statue of Liberty appliqués. More subdued but no less lovely: British breakout pop star Rose Gray did the monochromatic trend with her red hair and Britney-esque catsuit, while Cameron Diaz cosplayed as an English Rose once again with a blush pink lip. Rihanna took a casual trip to Target and debuted cornrows with curled ends, and Bad Bunny had some face grooming. In the world of sport, tennis star Naomi Osaka exuded power and positivity with sunflowers pinned through her braids, and Vogue cover star Angel Reese posed for her Rose Basketball Club looking sweet as anything with a half-up half-down hairdo.

Bad Bunny’s beard
Appearing on Jimmy Fallon to promote his latest album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Bad Bunny—AKA Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio—hit the couch with a fresh beard trim. Only Benito could pull off the coiffed goatee, mustache, and chin fuzz trifecta.

Julia Fox’s crop
“Girl, don’t do it…”—well, she did. The actor took to TikTok with a set of scissors to show a dramatic before and after of the DIY hair chop she did on her silver blonde hair. She told press at the premiere of her new film Presence that she is channeling the sleazy energy of Ace Ventura with the full look. We’re getting a bit of David Bowie too.

Cameron Diaz’s rosy lips
Cameron Diaz made a return to Britain to promote her new film, Netflix’s Back in Action, her first acting gig in 10 years. The Holiday actor looked every bit of an English rose with a blush pink lip. I’m going to make an educated guess and say it’s a Westman Atelier number (Diaz’s go-to makeup artist is the founder, Gucci Westman, who has also been doing amazing things for Babygirl’s Nicole Kidman’s red carpet appearances).
